Hearing rumors that Demps is in discussions for a package deal for Rondo.

No link. I'll GTFO.

Question is what do you guys think it would take to land him?

Something like EG and the #10 pick. It would take a lot to get an elite point guard.

There is no way the Celtics give up Rondo for anything we have to offer besides Gordon/Davis. Davis for Rondo? No. Gordon for Rondo? Interesting deal but I still don't know if I would do it and I don't think the C's would either. So in other words, keep dreaming.

Come on dude. At least provide SOME details. It's very unlikely due to the lack of assets we have. #10 and what?

Might be in the minority but I'd love to do this. The dude is an absolute beast, intelligent, and competitive as hell. One of my favorites in the entire league. I'd trade Gordon in a freaking heartbeat.

Boston wouldnt even have a team if they dealt Rondo

Garnett, Allen, Bass, Pietrus are all FA.

I'd love to do it but I'd be iffy about giving up Gordon because we will have no scorers unless Davis' offense develops very quickly.

Lewis' value as an expiring is that high?

not true

they've been trying to deal him for at least a year. he's a total a-hole and they're blowing up the team to rebuild

#10/lewis is about what they'll get for him

Boston doesnt need an expiring, they have like 35 mill coming off the books

still have pierce and rondo and will prob re-sign Garnett

bullshite. I know they've been trying to trade him for the past couple of years but his playoff performance this year solidifies his spot as a building block for the future on that team.

from an 88M payroll though

if they let KG/Allen/Bass walk they still have like $34M committed next year

hell, they could keep lewis and have a staggered 2 year window to completely rebuild (pierce comes off next year)

I think the postseason he just had makes him almost untouchable as they're going to rebuild around him.

if they let Bass walk they are around 29M

i could see them making a play for the 10, but i dont really see how Lewis fits in. they'd prob want Jarrett Jack though.

That'd be pretty mixed for me. He's one of those guys I just really hate for some reason. But he's pretty damn good

i don't think their desire to move him is based in his on-court play

I would have a little bit of pre-cum sneak out of my peen if we could get Rondo without dealing Gordon. I'm guessing (and hoping) that dealing Davis is out of the question. He has a pretty good contract, too ($11m/$12m/$13m). I'd have to think that if he were a FA, some team would offer him the max or very close to it.
