Defense -- Montgomery, Mingo, Freak, Logan, Rasco, Minter, Reid, Mathieu, Simon, Loston, Minter, maybe a freshman LB

Offense -- Ford, Ware, Blue, Hilliard, Hill, Mett, Beckham, Shephard, Landry, Collins, Faulk, Lonergan, Hurst

Kicker/Punter

The hype for the 2012 season is legit!!!

Hopefully Mett will find a good #1 receiver like the Rohan and Reed connection

close. This group should have fire in their eyes in the off season after 1/9. Plus don't have the Jefferson/Lee cancer

I really think this will be LSU's best team ever. I could see us being as good on defense (maybe better) and we'll be better on offense. I'm not sure how much better special teams can get, they were close to perfect last year.

I've had a sense the D may well be better also, not sure why, but I do. The O hopefully should be vastly improved...all depends on Zach.

Definitely. LSU has had numerous starting lineups that, relative to their own era, were as good as this year and last. Starting lineup quality is not LSU's big differentiator even though it's very good. Depth is what makes these teams great - quality depth.

last years, with the exception of the QB position. Which will make our team lots better, which is crazy to think about.

J.R. Ferguson is more talented than half the guys you mentioned. As is Vadal Alexander.
