LSU's baseball fans are completely different from their football fans lol...they are great

Looks like LSU has some pretty cool traditions...

Every fanbase has some good fans. Some have more than others, but each has some.

Not easy to do what Stony Brook did down there in what is arguably the most hostile environment for opponents in college baseball.

So when you DO pull something off like Stony Brook did -- and in the way they did it -- MUCH respect is earned and the LSU fans see that.
quote:

The whole crowd gave Stony a very nice ovation. Quite classy for the cajuns

Stony Brook could be a dark horse to win the whole CWS. Lots of drafted talent, they hit well, pitch well and -- having watched much of the LSU series -- it is NO fluke they're in the CWS.

quote:

I don't know if it was LSU's entire team that was like this - but their reliever COTTON in the top of the 9th picked off a guy at 2nd then cussed him out as he was jogging back to the dugout. They tried to steal on him the next play and the next pitch he drilled a guy square in his back down 5 runs.

No class - Aggy should fit right in.

I don't believe the majority of our fans are classless. We have a very hospitable fan base that will welcome visiting fans while feeding them good food and drink.

I know if you read this forum once or twice a week, we can really come off that way. However, I read this board for probably 8-10 hours per day and I have learned how to get underneath all the trolls and find the serious posters who give solid information. You need to do some digging, but you can usually find them in most threads.

Visiting fans don't get it. They get yelled at, screamed at, are shocked by how many grown adults are hammered drunk. That's a cultural difference. They don't stick around and talk shite back, which is exactly what we want them to do (in a friendly/joking matter). Once we know they are game, they get the "beer and jambalaya" that everyone loves to talk about.

I don't know how I feel about the "classiness" the baseball fans showed last night. I wouldn't ever do the same thing for football, and I was too angry to do the same thing last night. I'm ready to give SB their due and say they were the better team and wish them luck...but I'm not about to give their players high fives.

They got what they wanted: recognition for the fans of LSU baseball.

I was just thinking that we needed Baylor's opinion on the situation. I think we can move on now.

What could ever draw someone to a Baylor message board to find such things?
