"Just because you put on an Lsu jersey doesn't mean you will win."

Some time back, In an article in The Advocate, PM said "some times these boys think just because you put on that Lsu jersey you're gonna win." Thats happening this weekend. Very little enthusiasm w/these kids until crunch time.

That's LSU's strength; confidence. We've all seen LSU win the game at the last second and on the final pitch. We've seen it many, many times. LSU began this trend simply because they began working harder than everyone else. There was no magic and no secret. But success begets success and then, sometimes, the work ethic declines a bit. Then a team comes along that has worked so hard that they're not concerned with winning or losing, only finding out what they're best really is.

Minimal talent? LSU recruits the cream of the crop nationally. I promise talent isn't the problem.

Good Lord, some of you are completely out of touch with reality.

this fan base overreacts to things way to much, we simply got thrown off balance by their ace, it happens in baseball, this team all season has come here to play and they are a good team. Plus if this team doesn't come alive till the 7th in every game all the way to a championship its not like they would put an asterisk on it because they got beat for 7 innings then came alive. If you score late and win, its still a win.

This. Tyler Johnson is a damn good pitcher, and had his stuff today, hell Gausman had his stuff today as well outside of the 3rd inning (which I think can at least partially be attributed to rain).

I'd add to that the we got thrown off balance by their pitcher yesterday too. Heck, for that matter we've been thrown off balance by a lot of pitchers this season. But hey, as long as we find a way to advance to Omaha, most will forget it. We lose tomorrow and...,well, I don't have to tell you what this place will look like. Chairs turned over. Tables trashed. Man.

The fans need to realize that more than anybody.

It's funny how Mainieri says that about the players, but yet he took a couple of years off from coaching after the NC in 09. Sorry, that still pisses me off.
