Tim Curry's Pennywise freaked the shite outta me as a kid. Even as a kid, I was all "WTF," and rolled my eyes at the ending.

Loved the ABC version as a six year old, but needed an adult to go to the bathroom with me for a little too long... well into my teens. However, as much as I loved IT, I would rather see The Stand be remade by a really good director.

It was basically two films when it was first done. And they cannot top the first films in my opinion. Tim Curry as Pennywise was an outstanding casting decision.

Awesome scene

Ben Affleck is supposed direct The Stand. It's supposed to be adapted into 3 movies

They've been talking about doing this for about a year now.

Actually, the two movie is new. They originally talked about 1 which would be almost impossible given the 2 major time periods an 1100 pages.

Bingo, my evil will require 2 movies.

Honestly though, I'd rather see them make 2 good movies than 1 half-assed one. IT is my favorite King novel, I'd like to see it done right

This movie creeped me the hell out when I was a kid. I vaguely remember the ending to second one but I'm thinking a giant bug?

One of King's more recent novels, 11/22/63, brings you back to Derry, Maine and some of the characters. I wonder if they are gearing up for a movie of this one as well.

Yeah I think Jonathan Demme is supposed to direct 11/22/63
