Per Drew Brees tweet earlier.

Look out Nola. You're the next big chain city.

I wish LC had one of these. Damn good sandwiches and great prices. I probably went there once a week when I was living in BR.

Sorry Drew but Jimmy John's sucks.

I really don't understand why he just doesn't get with a local struggling chef trying to open a brick in mortar restaurant. With all the pop ups around trying to find a permanent home it seems like a no brainer. Front the money, name the business something like NOLA Brees Poboys and let the chef do his thing.

This! Like da Brees, but there is so much more potential with something other than a damn Jimmy John's.

I understand that, but why a sandwich chain in a place that is world famous for its sandwiches and shops ? I can understand on Vets but not Maple street.

He's an uptowner and with the direction he's taking with his new clothing line I guess I'm just a little disappointed he didn't go in that same direction with a sandwich shop. Who knows maybe he could be selling his own Brees NOLA style poboys shop franchise all over the country one day.

He's going to print money there. Yeah everybody loves po boys, but late night delivery and quick service will kill it.

Mellow Mushroom also heading into the neighborhood. They have much better sandwiches.

I can just about promise you that he won't own these in 5 years... the over head at Jimmy Johns make it a bad investment.

there are 3-4 chains within walking distance of the commercial part of Maple. La Madeline, Oh Henry, and Starbucks right there on Maple. I want to say there is a Subway in that strip mall next to Madigans. Its not really immune to chains.

I think opening his own Po boy shop would be great, but i doubt he has the time to put into something like that. A chain is pretty simple, especially for someone that wealthy. A place from the ground up takes much more development

Never stepped foot in a Jimmy John's. Never heard of it until I read about it on this board and in the TP.

I'm guessing it's not worth making a special effort to pick up a sandwich there, right?

I'm dropping by after I hit the gym (no laughing) and Whole Foods. I'll have to tell you about my newest client that I'm meeting later.

I've looked at the menu several times, and I just can't find anything on it to make me want to eat there!

I wish we'd get a Backyard Burger in the area!
