At first I didn't want him at all, but now I'm thinking he will develop nicely. He could give us a knock down 3 point shooter and take away Marco's PT. And you know he has the brains being Doc's son. Anyone else agree?

I'm thinking of him as a combo guard who would eventually become the starting point.

If he "only" becomes a bench sharpshooter behind Gordon, then he still brings value to the organization considering how few scoring threats we have now.

I like him alot too, but as a PG. However, I don't know if he can develop into an above average distributor to go along with his great shot and IQ.

I actually like Belli backing up Gordon. He did well coming off the bench this past season.

I like him too, It would be nice if he could grow into an attacking point (like Westbrook)

He's growing on me, too.

Something about getting this year's best players from Duke and Kentucky respectively makes me all warm inside.

+1, I can easily see him becoming a star playing with Gordon and Davis. Besides, we need another highly capable offensive threat besides Gordon.

I kind of wouldn't mind either. Isn't it funny, though, how much we love our coach? The trust we have in him after a season with the 4th worst record is unheard of, but well deserved. I'm assuming that it was Monty's interview a couple days ago when he had a lot of good things to say about Rivers that opened everyone's eyes to Rivers, huh? That's definitely what it was for me. I knew all about him before, but I thought, hell if Monty really likes him, I'd love him!

I think that a lot of the love for him is that he's done a LOT with the kind of talent he's had to work with.

Outside of West and CP3, he REALLY didn't have much to work with two years ago and had us looking decent against the Lakers in the playoffs.

This season, he had a MASH unit instead of a roster and he still managed to make them go out and compete every night.

I want Rivers. He is a smart, and from reports a good kid. I think he will work hard to become a PG. I also think he wants to be in NOLA.

I'm not sure if he's sold on the Hornets themselves as much as the idea of playing alongside Davis.

He seemed to be salivating at the thought of running the pick and roll with Davis.

He wouldn't be a bad fit. We have Jack so it is not like we need Rivers to come in and start right away. He could get a solid year of PT without being 'thrown to the dogs' right away

exactly. The franchise need gold @ 10, but really it's just gravy right now.
