Not saying its better by any means but I have had some solid trips so far and have not been out once and not gotten on something.

My grandparents lived a block off the beach in Biloxi. As a kid we would go to the beach everyday during the summer. We loved it, like you said it wasnt the best but it was there.

After they started putting the casinos up, the beaches became an after thought. I havent been there since my grandparents passed away, but if I have beach plans, that would be the last place I would go

Was talking about fishing. The beach front in bay st louis/Waveland is nice. Not Destin nice but nice enough.

The fishing has been good to me. The islands have put out some nice bags and we have always caught something in the bay. Small trout flounder black drum whatever its been steady and consistent every time I've been out since March.

To hear people talk the MS coast is a barren wasteland.

I lived in Houma for a couple years and had a boat but had never saltwater fished and just when I was learning a couple areas I moved to north ms. Now I am on the coast and am very surprised at how productive it has been. Especially considering what I had heard from all my old LA padnuhs

Welcome to LA.

A bum rap is when it isn't true. I live in MS, and don't even bother with a MS fishing license. I can drive the same distance and access the Biloxi Marsh, Hopedale, Delacroix, etc...so why bother fishing MS? If you wanna catch flounder though...yeah...MS is good for that.
