Whats keeping this guy from being a top 5 pick? He seems to be be everything you want in a PG. Can score, defend, pass. Has a high basketball IQ. I would love to grad him at 10.
Why is he not getting more attention?

That's literally it! GMs hate satanic lizards. Fact!

He played at a small school, so he didn't always go against the best competition thus his stats may be inflated. With that being said, I would love to grab him with the 10th pick.

the kid got shutdown when he played decent competition. He's talented and the tools are there. But he has some questions to answer.
1. Can he score against NBA caliber players?
2. Can he run an offense and put his teammates into positions to score?
3. Can he control the pacing of the games?
4. Can he be effective without scoring?
5. Is he as focused on defense as he is with his offense?
He is by no means a flawless prospect. A flawless prospect in this draft would be a top 5 pick. I don't see him as such. He's not Paul, Williams, Irving, Rose, Wall, and etc..

I say yes to all.

he took sooo many shots at Weber State, mainly because he was the best scoring option for obvious reasons
he forces a lot of shots and can be careless
with that being said he can flat out score kind of like MT23 but he's a better passer and his handles are sick
oh yea and he plays with a HUGE chip on his shoulder

They didn't really play too much decent competition but:
Against St. Mary's - 36 pts on 61% shooting
Against BYU - 15 pts and 10 rebs
Against Cal - 14 pts
Average against eventual Big Sky conf. champ Montana - 23 PPG

quote:nobody who has ever played the game is completely flawless. But I can sure tell you has less flaws than anybody in this draft not named Anthony Davis. I agree that he played less competitive teams, but he played more flawless than anybody else in the top 5.(not named anthony davis)

Besides the fact that he is NOT a good passer and his game is too much like EG's.........this is also a very legit statement!
Not to be confused with LINK

He was the 2nd most efficient player in the nation (behind Anthony Davis) AND he led the entire nation in turnover margin, even though he had the ball in his hands a tremendous amount.
