Every now and then you come across a great surprise on youtube. I did that today when I stumbled upon the song by Caravan of Thieves called "Raise the Dead." It's an homage to all dead artists and persons of historical importance (or any dead who person who is important to the listener, for that matter). Their harmony is beautiful and it doesn't hurt that the lead female singer is pretty cute too.
"Raise the Dead"
I honestly couldn't believe it only had 6,000 views. I loved the song so much I started listening to everything they had on youtube and then went to their site. They have all of their albums streaming on their website. I really, really love this band and their style. Their live performances are outrageous, crazy, fun, and uninhibited. It's something you could take your kids to and both of you would have a great time.
Obviously with their name, "Caravan of Thieves," they are going for that gypsy feel and they hit it perfectly. I plan on buying all of their albums now. Here is where you can listen to their albums for free.
Caravan of Thieves
They have a very interesting version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" on one of their albums, not to mention the Talking Heads song, "Psycho Killer". They even covered Michael Jackson's "Thriller." I hope you enjoy this incredibly talented band as much as I did.
