K so I have some Yankee cousins coming to the house tomorrow. They ate crawfish on Friday night so that is out. Looking for some good ideas for them- thoughts from the board? Can be both food and drink.

Not big on summer gumbos when it is 95 degrees, but I like the way you think.

Thinking about some grilled shrimp of some sorts. Add some grilled oysters now. Not sure what else. Not sure where to get gator but i would be game for that. Will get some Abita, Tin Roof, and Bayou Teche beer. Am I missing any good locals/regionals that are easy to find?
Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Go all-American for Memorial Day: hot dogs and hamburgers.

Fry a good batch of fresh gulf shrimp and fry some oysters. It doesn't get any easier than that.
Make a small gumbo just for tasting. 95 degrees doesn't stop me from eating a good gumbo. That's why I have an air conditioned house.
