There's a misspelling IN THE TITLE.
Jesus.

He's basically reiterating all the stuff we've been saying.

But he said the players claim they saw the notices of punishments sent to the coaches and that it told them not to speak out against the NFL if they wanted to come back to work.
I'm dubious.

quote:

Players say they have seen the discipline letters from the NFL to the Saints' Sean Payton, Gregg Williams, Joe Vitt and Mickey Loomis. They claim those letters don't simply state the allegations and the imposed punishment. They claim the letters tell the four men, in general terms, that if they stay mostly quiet, the league will let them back into the sport after a certain number of games. (The NFL denied this, but wouldn't address other claims by Saints players.)

quote:

Implied in that, Saints players say, is that if the coaches do talk, their suspensions could go longer. This is why Payton and especially Williams have said almost nothing.

Thanks for those who summarized it, because I'm not giving any internet hits to his articles anymore.

They must be reading his articles and felt the need to defend his accusations of "crybaby" and "arrogant" among others.

Either that or he is (anonymous) name dropping to seem relevant.

Maybe Freeman thinks it is "Bountgate".

I guess there's precident with guys like Rothlesburger, but it doesn't seem like it could be the same with coaches. And Williams is suspended indefinently. When would he be able to come back? Prusumably not this season.

It seems pretty clear to me that the coaches were ordered not to talk by Goodell. It must suck not to be able to defend yourself.
