Rhymes is good.. but outside of him... the team doesn't have a player like Mahtook or Dean. When those guys came to the plate, you had confidence they were coming through.

I'll take Katz over dean. Dean may have been slightly better hitting but overall katz is better.

Hopefully Katz turns things up, he has been slumping lately.

Outside of Katz (9 homers I think?) this team is lacking in the power department.

By "Mahtook or Dean" I mean clutch hitters.

One time when Hanover came to the plate, the announcer said that the change in bats may have affected Hanover more than anyone. Hanover then hit a ball to the warning track and the guy said "that's a good example... in the past, that ball probably went out."

Ross being out really hurt us IMO. He's a pretty solid hitter and gets alot of clutch hits. Not having him in the lineup and Vandy stealing like 10 bases was a big difference in the series. Add to that Rhymes got only a couple hits, that's not gonna be a good series for our offense.

I think when Ross comes back and if Rhymes can continue his pace, we should be ok.

I do agree we lack some power though.

Why everytime we lose a series must there be issues. The team had a bad weekend. Remember after auburn the doom and gloom with arky and Florida coming up. Well that turned out fine.....every team has its leaders and I feel pretty confident having katz, nola, or rhymes up in the clutch.

So, is Rhymes cooling off or did Vandy just know how to pitch him?

let's jsut fire the coach, sell the stadium to southern and save ourselves the misery of having a shitty team leading the sec west by 3 games and ranked in the top 10.

we suck...

These threads following a loss are pathetic...Nola, Rhymes, Katz, Ross, and Hanover have been clutch all season, and Jones has provided many clutch hits.

We were a 3-2 fastball away from winning the series against a good Vandebilt team. Suddenly the sky is falling.

If this team gave up on themselves as easily as some of our fans do, we wouldn't have won the West, swept Arkansas, taken 2/3 from UF, ole miss, and had two comeback victories to beat state.
