At least the Saints will start 1-0.

From rotoworld.com:
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan confirmed Sunday that rookie Robert Griffin III will open full-squad OTAs with the first-team offense.
Not that there was ever any doubt. "He's the starter. Period," Shanahan said. It's notable because the Skins aren't making Griffin "compete" with Rex Grossman, and he'll handle a full dose of reps. They're not wasting any time. At the Redskins' rookie minicamp, Griffin drew raves for his live arm, ball placement on over-the-shoulder throws, and immediate understanding of the offense.

You don't think RGIII is going to be good?

I don't think there is any way he is going to win his first start of his career; especially on the road in what better be a madhouse.

If he does then maybe it will be a long year as some are hoping for.

I agree, it is his first game. He's going to be playing against a pissed off team in front of some pissed off fans. But you still can't assume we're gonna win because of that.

Not so fast my friend... Hard to game plan against a qb with no tape

This.

I think this is why a lot of first year QBs and first year coaches do well.

I would be curious to know the record of rookie QBs in their first start. I can't imagine it's very good. Troy Aikman's 1-15 and Peyton Manning's 3-13 seasons come to mind.

The fans could make a difference but a pissed off team usually plays sloppy and not fundamentally sound. I wouldn't want my team pissed off...

Even if RG3 has a good game I don't see the Redskins D stopping Brees effectively enough to win.

(OMG-we're talking actual fb!)
