Will be leaving to go to St. Paul on Sunday for 18 days. Work thing. I've never been to that area. I will be staying in downtown Saint Paul at the HiltonGarden Inn (soon to be Doubletree). What are some good restaurant spots in that area? Or Minneapolis suggestions as well? Thanks.

Mickey's Diner is a classic. And it's only 2 blocks away.

Sounds good. What's the best way to get around without a car. I assume taxi or walk?

Drink some beer by Surly Brewing. It's quite awesome.

I was in downtown St. Paul in winter for software training so I didn't get out much. Stayed at the St. Paul Hotel which had great food in house.

But I ate Mickeys Diner......just past the diner on the same side of the street was a Thai place I ate at several times.....very good.

Chipotle in the Lawson building lobby.

Ur there for 3 weeks, they arent getting you a rental?

May be stuck to taxi's. Make sure they will reimburse ur taxi's if they arent providing a vehicle!

Oh ok. I really don't plan on leaving the immediate area besides for a twins game and a concert. Hopefully I can get a taxi for that.

You really should go to the Mall of America in Bloomington. The scale of that place is amazing. over 500 stores, a shark tank in the basement and an amusement park in the middle. Built on the site of the old Metropolitan Stadium where the Vikings and Twins used to play. There's still a chair in place on the wall where somebody hit a home run.
