No way he is ready for this. Nats should have stuck to their plan.

Possibly but you never know.

I'll take it, he's just taking up a roster spot on my bench. I wish he still had C eligibility though.

I'm glad he's not playing tonight. The dodgers are throwing Kershaw

yea kinda a head-scratcher. Is this even late enough to avoid the arbitration clock thing?

The Nationals announced that Bryce Harper will be called up to make his major league debut Saturday against the Dodgers.
The Bryce Harper Era is upon us. It's a pretty surprising decision by the Nationals, as many thought they would wait until June to avoid eventual Super Two status. Service time issues aside, Harper is batting just .250/.333/.375 with one homer, three RBI and a .708 OPS over his first 82 plate appearances with Triple-A Syracuse. Impressive numbers for a 19-year-old, but he's hardly tearing things up down there. Still, the Nationals need a boost for their offense with Ryan Zimmerman (shoulder) set to hit the disabled list in a corresponding move. Keep the expectations in check, but Harper is worth adding in all formats.
