I mean, to threaten a small business owner into shutting down, solely because he was mean to you? Not to mention the fact that he was the reason she got a free armoire.

Btw, I hate street toughs

All the Soup Nazi had to do was pay her off and get his recipes back. Guess he had too much pride.

He obviously sold a high quality product that was much in demand. When you corner the market, you can run your business how you want. She had fair warning on how to deal with him.

Exactly. She was just a spiteful woman. She tried to put Punto De Mayo (sp?) out of business for not waiting on her in a timely fashion!

As Kramer found out, Yev Kasim was really just misundertsood. Deep down he was a good guy that cared for others (giving Kramer a nice armoire for free). He just happens to run his business like the Masters; I do things my way, here's how it's gonna be, and if you don't like it you don't have to come.

Let's not forget that Elaine didn't follow proper protocol (that Jerry desperately tried to explain to her), and even when she was being out of line, YK was patient and gave her some time before banning her.

She should've worked out a deal, like she can come in for a free meal a week in exchange for giving the receipes back or something. But to advertise his recipes all over town and ultimately put him out of business (presumably) was just downright cruel. Of course, we saw over the course of the series Elaine was kind of a bitch, so that's to be expected.

I'm not saying that Elaine wasn't a total bitch...she was. You can run your business any way you choose no matter what your success level is, but when you're a dick to everyone, you run the risk of someone having the means to stand up to you.

He got what he deserved. Jsut because he has the market cornered, doesn't mean he has to operate a ridiculously strict business.

I think George got screwed. He didn't get the bread he paid for and then got banned from the store for a year.

He did have a legitimate gripe on that one. Turkey chili is perfect for bread dipping too.

I think the episode that pisses me off the most with Elaine is the one where George gets the touppe (sp?). She doesn't like it, so she rips it off his head and throws it out the window. Then she gets this smug, satisfied look on her face. What is your deal, bith? She really was a spiteful whore when you think about it. She screwed over tons of people and screwed tons of dudes.

He doesn't HAVE to, but he has the right to. It's his store, he can run it however he wants to.

Jerry killed Elaine's boyfriend, and they showed absolutely no remorse over this.

Sure. He has the right to do anything he wants. But he's not above any sort of retaliation.

I don't think he was the one that got banned. He did go back and when he showed his pleasure in getting bread, the SN told him "you're pressing you're luck little man"

Not sure where Newman's Jambalaya comes in, it's not a soup. Should've been Gumbo.

Was it the old man she was dating? I am drawing a blank, too.
