Making a trip there in May. Anybody know if its worth it to take a guided trip and if so, any recommendations?

More info: It would be a max of 6 people for about a 6 hour trip.

If you have a big group and the Miss Celeste is still in operation they use to be good. Went on a few company trips on her before and we filled the fish boxes every time.

I'm going May 12th through 18th myself. I looked on-line, but I have decided to go to the docks one afternoon and talk to people and see what boats bring in what. I think we'll be able to find someone to take us.

At least that's the plan...

Went a few summers ago with Capt Al Bednar on the Time Bandit. Great captain. He was out of Southwind Marina in Perdido, not to far for you. They had 3-4 other boats running out of there as well. This wasn't a 15 yankee, catch a limit of bluefish, and call it a day trip. They allow 7 and fished hard.

I'll be there those days too. Got a friend that's going to take us trout fishing.

Dribble, I think it was you who knew a lot about Bon Secour. I started a thread yesterday hoping you'd chime in about how the fishing is. I'll bump it do that you'll hopefully see it.

Intimidator Charters is a really good outfit to fish. May is a really good time to fish out of Gulf Shores/Orange Beach (This is out of Orange Beach Marina - which is almost at Perdido Pass)

There is also a charter out of Bon Secour (Inshore) and I would highly recommend. (Cpt Ron Whitworth)
