Just wondering what the F & D board consensus is on this restaurant/what dish recommendations do you have?

My parents live near there, so we've gone quite a bit over the years. Seems a bit pricey at times, but it's always a pretty good meal...not over the top or anything, but above average.

Menu is a bit limited too.

Right

And for what it is, it's pretty good

I'd eat there anytime

hey rocket surgeon, that's why it may have the word bistro in its name, because it's a bistro and not fine dining.

Sold fish specials for the price. Tiger sauce I could do with out.

Good fish. Filet is good.

I like the place but with its limitted options it would get boring if i went more than a few tumes a year.

My sister made reservations for us/the family to eat there after her LSU graduation in a few weeks so I was just trying to see how this place is generally received. We didn't want to eat around LSU because we knew every place would be jammed pack..This place should suffice since it's like 10 miles away; plus it's a closer drive back home to Metairie from Highland than a restaurant near campus or by College or Corporate.

The menu looks very small; but like I said in another thread recently, that usually means they care about the quality of the dishes that they make and that most of them will be solid. Their seafood pastas look good so I may order one of those.
