theres a huge internet groundswell for fricking Mark Hunt right now. IDK what the hell Dana is going to do. He said Mir will still fight Cain.

i'd rather see hendo or shogun or Machida fight JDS at 220lbs than a shitty HW. JDS is probably gonna kill whoever anyway.

I'm scared Junior is just gonna sit for a couple months and not even fight at this event. If a HW does fight him, it won't be a deserving challenger, and it won't be fair for JDS (especially if it's a wrestler/BJJ guy) when he's been training stand-up this whole time. Oh well, that's how this sport goes....will be interesting to see how this plays out.

And Hendo would have a much better shot against JDS than he would against Jones. Still don't want to see him take either fight, but he wants that belt...can't blame him.

Mark Hunt vs JDS would be an entertaining fight. Strength vs Strength and Hunt with his amazing chin and great striking would give JDS hell.

I don't think he has much of a chance against JDS, but it would be fun to watch for sure.

I would rather they throw Werdum to the wolves if Mir or Cain isn't facing JDS.

I know his record isn't great but he's won his last 3 fights in impressive fashion and I think it would be a much more entertaining fight then Mir vs JDS. Mir got murdered on the feet in his last fight vs big nog and I don't see how Mir can get JDS to the ground with his incredible takedown defense. Even though Hunt's MMA record isn't much to brag about I believe his style would give the hardest matchup to JDS. Hunt doesn't deserve it on paper but give the fans a fun fight instead of just throwing gatekeeper Mir in there again. I don't want to see Hendo vs JDS because I think JDS is too crisp with his boxing to get caught with an hbomb and I think he would use his reach to destroy Hendo.

i agree. it just kind of makes the sport look like a toughman contest again if a fat slob looking guy can just go up and get a title shot with such a shitty recent resume after a 1-1 WWE wrestler got a title shot.

I'm warming to the idea though. All the top HWs are not viable choices other than the 2 Strikeforce guys and it really sucks that there's nobody from LHW that can make a big fight out of this considering Jones has already eliminated all the big names from title contention. Shogun and Machida are tiny LHWs, Rampage probably would have been a dream. Big LHW, boxer, huge name. But obviously he's out and looked like shite in his last fight anyway.

I will jump off a bridge if Forrest gets it or something like that.

If JDS was to try to stand and bang with Hunt, he'd be in for a tough fight. Anyone who thinks otherwise is nuts. Since making the move to ATT, Hunt has been much improved.

I personally want to see Hendo/JDS, but replacing one TRT taker with another seems ludicrous.

although it's funny to think of it this way b/c hunt is fat, i want to see a guy who has good striking defense and a big chin face JDS to see how he does later into a title fight

now hunt obviously isn't the ideal choice, for a variety of reasons, but it could make it interesting

hunt is a weird fighter. he would just get hot at times but be mediocre for the rest (in K1 and MMA)

Is this Testosterone Replacement Therapy? If it is almost all fighters probably need it because if you take painkillers your body will stop making test and I bet most of them take A LOT of painkillers.
