Personally, id prefer coors/miller over RR, but really, idgaf if you drink pink lemonade,m at a crawfish boil. But for me, there is better stuff out there.

For crawfish any common pilsner will do. For food like that you don't want a beer with real taste. You want something that won't get in the way or something tasty that gets over powered by garlic, lemon cayenne, etc. It's one of the few times I'd suggest the shitty Bud, Miller or Coors trio.

re: Best Beer for Boiled Crawfish?

I like good tasting beers because I feel like the typically large doses of various peppers really inflames your taste buds and lets you really taste the flavors of good beer (however you want to define that) that maybe you sometimes miss. For instance, something like an amber that maybe you're used to if you're not 17 and have grown accustomed to as you've grown older. But yeah, if someone has a keg of whatever, that works just as well and I won't be complaining in the slightest. I just really like to enjoy the fact that I can really taste beers that I might otherwise have just grown extremely accustomed to.

Went to one last weekend and took some Abita Strawberry, which I'm normally not a huge fan of. It went great with the crawfish.

Personally, I'd have Southern Star Pine Belt Pale Ale or maybe Real Ale Full Moon Rye if I wasn't planning on having many. If I am cooking them and planning on drinking all day, probably Lone Star.

I usually enjoy craft type beers, but when it's crawfish time, nothing beats coors light.
