Can someone give me a rundown of the seeding possibilities for the basketball team. Lets say they win vs. Auburn on Saturday. Just want to know the possible match-ups

ETA: im guessing 6 or 7 seed

I think we can be anywhere from the 6-9 seed. A lot of the tiebreakers will come down to who is the #2, #3 seed, etc which we don't know yet.

I want the 6.

Opening round vs. Georgia, with the winner taking on Florida/Vandy whoever finishes #3.

I feel more comfortable against Florida than Vandy. Vandy just scares me for some reason.

I think Vandy is the second best team in the league, they just don't put it together on some nights. You could say the same about UF, but Vandy has versatile scorers/shooters, a decent post game and a decent PG. Plus they've got to be the most experienced team in the league.

Tennessee actually has a chance to finish as the #2 seed in the tourney, which is crazy to me.

if that happens, withe Florida, Bama or Vandy will have to play on thursday as the 5 seed.

It doesn't seem to matter, this season has been a complete let down

Wrong. If someone told you LSU would be 17-12 and 8-8 in the SEC before the season would you think it's a letdown? Also that we would have wins over ranked Marquette and Mississippi State and earning an NIT Birth? I think not.

according to whom?

most here said an 8-8 SEC record would be acceptable. just the thought of us being able to get to 10-6 was a nice change of pace.

has this team underachieved this yr? sure. were there bad losses? yea.

but they did win some big games and make some nice comebacks. a win saturday and maybe a win or two in the SEC tourney would complete the season for me. that's all i could have asked for before the season started.
