I highly doubt it would be worth it if you could. The problem is that the credit card charges a fee to the merchant. For regular purchases this works b/c most merchants want the extra volume and do a slight markup to cover it. For a mortgage lender, not so much. You already owe them x dollars no matter what, even if you could charge it you would have to pay the additional vendor fee yourself. Probably not worth the trouble.

I seem to remember countrywide having that option. Of course, BOA took over countrywide or at least bought my mtg and there is no option to do it.
ETA: And I may just be mistaken. It's been a while since Countrywide serviced my loan.

No - the reason is on a cc, you can dispute the charge and have it removed. CW would only take a debit card, not a credit card.

I thought about doing that to rack up the miles but I have not seen a mortgage company that lets you pay with a credit card.

What if you used the check from the credit card company and mailed them in??? Would that work??

Don't think you get miles for the checks you write on a mile-based credit card.
