It won't help your RPI but you will be able to say that of your losses, one more was to a team in the tournament. Sounds better is all. LSU still has work to do but like in dumb and dumber, there is a chance.

I think you might have to win out, finish 10-6 in conf, (4th), and win a couple in the SEC tourny. I didn't think they could leave Bama out last year at 12-4 but they did, and took GA, who we beat twice in the last week. Nonconference and RPI is very important too, as we found out last year. Big reason for Grant's schedule upgrade this year. Crazy part is, they almost seem to care more about who you play than who you beat. Good luck unless you play the Tide.

Last year they took GA who had a lower rpi because they had lost to better teams. Bama's rpi went down even with conference wins last year because the west was so horrible. 12-4 conf record, 2 wins over GA but our rpi was 80 and theirs was in the 30s. GA went, we went to NIT.

No it hurts bad still. Again. If LSU is sitting at 18-8 right now instead of 16-10. They'd be in serious discussions of tourney talk with their resume. Those 2 loses hurt bad. Let's just hope they keep winning to warrant some discussion.
