OP please STFU and let people enjoy a great win. People finally get something to cheer about lately and you just can't get over your own selfishness and hate for TJ to speak well of the team when the DO deserve.

This sentiment is a sure way to increase fan support for an improving basketball team.

it's a amazing how people let 1 loss alter their mindset and emotions.
if the o.s.u. f.g. is called good against iowa st. lsu wins the n.c. and les miles is considered one of the best teams and coaches in history. However, bama gets a second shot and everyone jumps off the miles wagon and the program is a sinking ship.
Reality check. The program is one of the best in the country and is line for another run at the n.c. and s.e.c. championship.

OP is right. Same thing goes for every other LSU sport. One minute (after a win) everyone loves Les. The next minute (after a loss) Les is the most hated man in all of Louisiana. Dare I even mention baseball?

You missed the point completely. Getting outrebounded by 10* by USA is a reason to get on Trent. Drawing up a terrible inbound play to almost blow the game last night despite being up 4 with 15 seconds is a reason to get on Trent.
The other team missing a free throw and then Hickey storming down and hitting a shot is not a thing to commend him for. He did some things well last night. He got the team to keep playing and overcome some big deficits, but he almost blew the game at the end. He should get no more credit than if Miss St makes that free throw and Hickey misses that shot.

Firstly, its not like it was a FG as time expired. Iowa St would have still had a very strong chance to respond. Secondly, Oklahoma St would have absolutely trashed LSU on January 9th.

It wasn't trent drawing up a bad play. We knew they were gonna foul so we were gonna get it to a wide open Hamilton. He is one of our best ft shooters. It was just a terrrible pass.
You dont think TJ coaches rebounding? Sometimes players dont do everything they are told. You can tell that TJ is 100% about defense and rebounds so that isn't on TJ cause the players didn't hustle.

Yeah but it is equally true of the close ones we have lost. Wouda, shouda, couda! All sports games are that way but basketball is even more so. There is so much action that you can always find plays that would have put us over the top or in your case that would have put MS there.
Here is the reality of the basketball program. Trent is an above average but not great coach. He and his staff have not shown that they can recruit enough good players to get us above the middle of the conference. That of course can change.
Next year we should have a better team even if we only sign Malik Morgan. They will be more experienced, hopefully O'Bryant and Hickey become better players. However our depth will suffer and we will really miss Storm.
Trent and his staff need to do a better job recruiting or ultimately they will fail. True of any college sport or coach. Hamilton was a transfer and Hickey a lucky last minute addition. They have been our two best players and made this team what it is.
