yeah Daunte's routine Doggcrapp training. Very familiar with it and have used it in the past with great success. defiantly an advanced routine though. I pretty familiar with most of the popular training regiments especially the online programs. When I used to train hard and train others I used to research a ton.

3 years ago I had gotten to 212 at 10%bf for my wedding but I quit training after that until now. Wish I was like that again, right now Im 210 and fricking fat. Sucks that I lost all my progress but I am determined to get it back. Just wanna get my 6 pack back though by the summer.

also DC's philosophy on extreme stretch and diet are amazing. work wonders for people who consider themselves hard gainers.

Lately I have been doing a lot of research on Greyskull programs(strengthvillian.com), Plan on spending the 100 bucks here in a couple months and picking up his 4 book pack.

tonight I did the workout and it was much easier until I got to lunges on the 3rd circuit; started getting dizzy and had to stop. Up until then I was good. Since I do thrusters instead of side lunges and they are extremely taxing on the lungs, I believe they were what got me dizzy.

Yeah, the extreme stretching was what I was referring to with the people thought I was crazy comment. I had a few people ask me WTF I was doing back then. It really worked though. I'm way too out of shape right now to do a routine like that currently. I stopped working out for about 3 years and am just getting back into it again. It's kind of depressing. I've got a long, long way to go.

arktiger28 im pretty tired tonight so im not gonna write too much about what you should do right now but I will say running 30 miles a week is doing way more harm then good, your cortisol levels have to be through the roof.

basically you should do spartacus 3 times a week and performing a HIIT sprint workout 3 times a week all on seperate days If possible add very low intensity walking in the morning on a inclined treadmill if possible.

I will lay it out in detail though tomm night. the workout beat me down pretty good tonight.

also when you do the bmr calc just do the first calculation, dont use the harris formula.

Did my third sparty workout of the week ystdy. I think its getting harder. I can still only complete 2 circuits, although the first circuit did seem to be easier. Mid way through the second circuit I was gassed.

I'm not saying your wrong but that is kind of hard to accept. Running comes very natural to me and I don't really feel like it stresses my body at all. So does the well accepted calories in vs. calories out not ring true in this situation?

I tried adding P90x Ab Ripper X as an off-day ab workout, and it sucked. My legs are still sore which limits my reps in some of the ab exercises.

I'd love to get some pointers. Seems like I'm in the same boat as alot of other posters. Trying to get back in shape. I tend to be the skinny-fat guy. Lean everywhere but stomach. I enjoy running but even crazy distance running haven't gotten rid of the belly. Got any ideas on how to get the mid section trimmed up?

Diet seems to be 80-85% of the equation. I actually think cardio is highly overrated... just as long as you are not sitting on the couch all day and getting some form of physical activity you do not even need that much intense cardio.

Same can be said about lifting even, even though I enjoy that a lot.

I'm going on my fifth Spartacus workout tonight. I progressed from 1 circuit the first time to 2 to all 3 the last two times out. I have been supplementing the workout with the 300 workout also. I feel that it allows for heavier lifting while still getting a cardio workout. I've been doing the intermediate one since I don't have a barbell, just dumbbells. For off days I've been running about 2.5 miles or hitting the heavy bag for 10 rounds of 2:00 work and 1:00 minute of rest and working my way up to doing 10 burpees between rounds also. This thread really motivated me to kickstart getting back in shape. Thanks guys.

Got my 5th sparty workout today. I got wasted in Nola last night so today is going to be extreme. Plan on getting my rest period down to 15 seconds by Friday.

Also this may sound weird but my hangovers aren't near as bad since I started sparty. In facr i don't feel that bad now when usually after a night like last night I'd still be feeling the effects tomorrow morning. Does that have anything to do with the improved cardiovascular ?

A few questions for those with some fitness knowledge::slowly looks at 777 :

When I started I was at 245lbs. Decided to change my diet to the paleo or caveman diet(basically no grains, or dairy) and got back on P90X(plan on doing Spartacus when I'm done). A few years ago, I did a mix of P90X and just running outside right after graduating school and dropped from 320lbs(at my heaviest) down to 212lbs(at my lightest). In doing so I will freely admit that I did not do it in the healthiest of ways(i.e. not eating at all, doing a P90X workout, and then going for at least a 3 mile run), which probably played an important role in putting some of the weight back on. As of this moment I'm down to 226lbs, but haven't seen the scale move too much in a while. What can I do to get off this plateau?

Diet has much more of an impact than simply working out; probably 80% or more. I've learned that over the years.
