Lake Peigneur north of Delcambre

I pass by this lake every day on my way to work, and have always been curious what the quality of fishing is like. From what I understand, it has some really deep sections b/c of the collapsed salt mine underneath it. Has anybody ever fished it?

Lake Peigneur disaster
Apparently you can now catch redfish and other saltwater species.

I live not too far from there too. Last mother's day we were out there eating at Rip van Winkle Gardens and I saw some people out in a boat not too far from shore catch a redfish.
I've thought about trying it too, just never got around to it.
