With the additional speed and athletisism at linebacker, we are going to by unbelieveable on defense.

All we need is a gamer at QB to give these guys a rest here and there.

Gamer at QB = more effective run game = more TOP = more rest for D = more domination! We may very well go 15-0 in a 14 game season!

What we need, and I believe that we have, is a stable of running backs so that in the end of the season we still have guys fresh. On top of that we need a QB who can make throws in clutch situations.

I don't care if a QB can make some passes in the first quarter, we need a guy who can throw a TD into the corner of the end-zone on 4th down down by 4 points with the clock running out (See Jamarcus vs ASU) or a corner of the end-zone pass with 2 seconds left when down 3 (See flynn vs Auburn).

Hell we don't even need a full gamer just a half gamer.

If we stop seeing "third-and-Chavis" in 3rd and long situations. LSU has the secondary people to use the blitz more often.

Gee, I wish we had a QB on our roster this last year with one of those throws on his resume...oh wait we did, but he was sitting on the bench when we needed him most. See LSU @ Florida 2010.

On a side note, reading write ups like these from the LSU/Flordia 2010 game tend to cause my blood pressure to go up again

"Lee and starter Jordan Jefferson again shared snaps, as Lee finished 9-of-11 for 124 yards and two touchdowns to Toliver. Jefferson was 7-for-12 for 100 yards passing, while adding 42 yards and two touchdowns on the ground."

LINK

Someone please remind me again why we went away from using both QBs.

That of course includes our victory in the preseason scrimmage against the Patriots-Giants winner.

i think this year will be better than last.. afyer that, im a little concerned we wont be quite as good. I see a lot of our D line leaving after this year and next, so just as our great class of LBers are coming in to their own in the next 2 years, the Dline could have already peaked.

I mean, we're talking about going from A+++ to just A+, so its not like we're hosed.
