insider article, LINK

He talks about possible deals. Doesn't sound like he is expecting much in return when we trade Kaman. This is what he believes is the best deal for us

Flynn, Thabeet and TWill " Houston is probably not going to part with New York's first-round pick (top-five protected) given the Knicks' struggles, but the Rockets have a second-rounder from Minnesota and a future first (2014 or later, depending on when they give New Jersey the pick they owe from the Terrence Williams deal)"

Camby for Kaman - "the Blazers would inevitably face Camby on another Western team's roster after his inevitable buyout from New Orleans."

Aumundson for Kaman - Pacers don't need bigs, they need guards

Kaman to Boston - Boston would have to give up too many players and would mess up their rotations.

I personally like the Houston trade. We all know we aren't going anywhere this season so we pretty much have a free pass to try some of these younger guys to see if we can find a diamond in the rough buried on someone's bench.

ETA:

realgm.com has a trades and transactions forum were fans are posting their ideas of trades for Kaman and others. You guys should check it out.

As a Rockets fan, I wouldn't mind dumping that heap of slop on the Hornets for a 7-footer. Thabeet won't be playing basketball next year, and Flynn doesn't inspire a lot of hope either.

Williams is talented -- he averaged a triple-double in the D-league during a brief stint last year -- but can't hit the side of a barn with his shot and definitely isn't the smartest player in the world. Even still, he would be the most attractive piece for the Hornets in this deal because he has actually demonstrated some potential.

Don't go there. Trust me.
