Just watched the newest episode of Golden Time... the author (same as Toradora, for anyone wondering) just loves sending everything to hell right before the conclusion doesn't she? The feels are too much

Thinking about a subscription to crunchyroll. Is it worth it?

I think it's worth it, especially since I can't torrent fansubs from where I'm living right now. Crunchyroll has been picking up more and more shows each season as well, so unless a show is preemptively picked up by Funi or something like that, it will more than likely be picked up by CR nowadays

Just watched the first episode of this, has a FLCL feel to it. What's everyone's take on it?

I like it, but I've yet to finish it. I'm about halfway through.

Bleach manga followers

So im watching bleach episode 11 when they introduce ishida as top of the class. His name isn't ishida uryuu it is ishida ametatsu (Orihime tells ichigo its uryuu.)

My theory

Ishida Ametatsu sternritter A- the amaterasu (big reach )

If any are familiar with Japanese mythology this makes a lot of sense.

Serious question, what is the difference between anime and cartoons?

Anime is more like a book/movie. The only difference is the delivery

Cartoons are the broad category and anime is a subset within that category.

It is all animation.

Some people will get annoyed if you call it cartoons, but I don't really care. I watch cartoons.

Not sure if any of y'all are following the trilogy, but the final Mardock Scramble is being released tomorrow.

Not gonna read 60 pages but I'd like to throw "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" by Hayao Miyazaki into the fray

If you ever come back...

People differentiate because cartoons are typically aimed solely at children. Japan has dozens of new shows airing every season, with something aimed at everyone regardless of gender or age group. That, along with the obvious, anime is just Japanese animation.

Also, I finished Log Horizon. It was far more enjoyable than I thought it was going to be. Anxiously awaiting Golden Time finale in two days and Strike the Blood will be fulfilling whatever harem craving I'll have for years.

Here for a well needed bump. Probably only watching a couple of shows this season. Mahouka, No Game No Life, Brynhildr, and Akuma no Riddle are the ones I'll try to keep up with but I've gotten so busy lately. Plus, I have a really strong urge to rewatch Gurren Lagann now

I just started the third season of Genshiken and that's going to be interesting. It drastically changed art styles between 2nd and 3rd seasons.

I thought it was alright. It just seemed to lack any story progression.

A second season is needed.
