So SHAFT really outdid themselves with the Koimonogatari OP, it might be the GOAT

Has anyone recommended Attack on Titan? Not reading 50 pages to look. It's a really interesting show, and definitely read the manga if you haven't

Yea, I saw the show. I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite. I wanted more story.

I haven't read the manga though.

I think most in this thread have watched it. I enjoyed it. Wasn't good enough to get me interested in reading the manga though.

I just recently got on Hellsing Ultimate. Finished part 3 last night. I'm enjoying it much more than the series from early 2000s.

So it's pretty much guaranteed you guys are more knowledgeable regarding manga/anime than me (got several great suggestions from this thread about a year ago), and finding a definitive answer to this question in the avalanche of fanboy bullshite out there is just fricking impossible, so here goes:

Is the Bleach anime series just done for good, or are they going to restart it and finish the story out once the current, manga-ending run is done?

I finally got around to finishing out the Aizen arc recently, and quickly realized there are only like 20-some non-filler episodes left. Is it even worth trying to watch these if there is a chance it's just going to end abruptly? I know there are two post-Aizen canon arcs in the manga - does the anime just stop in the middle of the first post-Aizen arc?

I don't watch Bleach, but from what I've heard, I think it's done for good since the manga is about to finish up. Most anime adaptations are used to promote and increase manga/LN sales, so if a series is finished, there is really no incentive to continue adapting a series... which is why we'll never get more Spice & Wolf

Yeah, I've seen that posted quite a bit, with most thinking the anime is done. Kinda sucks, as (from what I have read) the final arc is shaping up to be pretty awesome, so it would have been nice to see it come to life, so to speak.

Most of my first-hand knowledge is with the really mainstream stuff, starting with DBZ & Gundam Wing back when I was growing up. Bleach is pretty similar to those two in that there is a lot of fluff in most episodes (without even getting into canon vs filler), but when it is good it is pretty special. Even when most people could see the plot twists & turns coming a mile off, Kubo and the anime studio still managed to present everything in such a way as to elicit quote a few "oh hell yeah"'s.

Agreed. Looking forward to Space Dandy. Anything coming from makers of Cowboy Bebop has potential.

I've been watching Rosario Vampire and it is very solid. Romantic-Comedy High School genre. I've been pleasantly surprised with it. It's on Netflix

I read the manga so I absolutely cannot stand that abomination of an anime. They basically just take the characters, say frick you to the story and turn it into a stupid monster of the week rom-com. But I digress.

SAO 2 was announced today and it looks like they'll just be doing Gun Gale Online for this season

I guess I need to take the plunge and start reading some manga. If the manga was that much better than the anime, I'm in for a treat.

I think i read somewhere that the anime would pick up again after the manga finished.

Even if it doesnt come back, try the 1000 year blood war arc on the manga. It is outstanding right now

Could you guys recommend a good romantic-comedy manga? Not sure which to buy. It will be my first and that's my favorite genre of anime.

Dunno if it's licensed or not, but if it is, definitely go with Rosario + Vampire. It gets more serious in season 2 so be prepared for that.

I've heard Love Hina is pretty good, although I haven't read it.

Honestly I'm not really sure what's available and what's not so I'll just try to list some stuff and you'll have to investigate a bit on your own.

Suzuka and Kimi no iru Machi are decent, although they may be too dramatic and rage inducing for your liking.

Ouran High Host Club and Bakuman have pretty good reviews.

Although if it were sold in the US, I'd say definitely buy The World God Only Knows because it's amazing.
