Longest a restaurant has taken to charge your credit card?

Just had one wait 22 days to put the charge on my CC. I didn't even realize until my friend I was with called to ask me if they waited that long for me also.

Yeah, I agree. Two different banks are not going to hold transactions for exactly the same amount of time.

Sounds like the restaurant manager is doing some kind of sales shifting shenanigans to try and even out weekly sales totals, or hit bonus targets.

It was actually 3 different people but I am not sure if we have different banks or not. The restaurant is fairly new so that might have been an issue.

Recognizing sales and receiving payment are not one in the same.

Sometimes I get charged for my meal then a week or so later I get recharged with the tip added.Very frustrating.

no you are not. it's a authorization at first, eaning they are placing a 'hold' in your account making sure the money is there. nothing is being charged. then, when the actual charge goes through, the total amount is then charged. i'e seen it where they split the bill from the tip but usually it's lumped together
