I got a message from Quickbooks to update my tax table for LA Unemployement. It has been set to 2.22% Is that correct? Do I need to change that for 2012?
I think QB updates Federal tax tables automatically but the state ones do not update?
Thanks.

Call 866-783-5567 & follow the prompts to speak to a specialist that deals with employers at the Louisiana Woekforce Commissn.

You should have gotten something in the mail last month stating what your percentage was this year. I think that number is different for every business.
If you didn't get the deal in the mail will need to call.

You can actually retrieve your state UI tax rate online -
LINK
If you do not have an account tied to your EAN/SID, you will need to create one, but this account will allow you to lookup your tax rate, file quarterly or annual wages, review benefit charges, and a few other things.
It is perfectly fine to call, but be prepared to wait on occasion.
If you did not receive your Annual Rate Notice (105 form - these are mailed towards the end of December), you may also want to inquire on which address is on file on the mainframe for your business.
