With Brady being so close behind to break Marino and Brees' record..... no reason to just cash it in after the celebration last night.... Drew should keep this record for more than 6 days but I get not taking the chance to hurt him.

Do you think NE plays Brady to get the record?

You have to play it to win it. If the Niners are blowing out the Rams at half time, then you probably sit your guys.

You should stop worrying about a record and worry about getting the team ready for the playoffs. Would you rather a record or a Super Bowl run?

Brees will play enough of the game to keep the record in New Orleans. The Saints still have something to play for.

I just don't see the Drew/Saints being in the situation they are in and as hard as it is to get that record and just let Brady come and take it already.

Of course I'd rather the Superbowl victory but let's not be niave that this is being pondered... Drew knew what last night was, you could see him pressing the entire third and up until he got the records.

Well if I heard correct, we'll be playing at noon. So at the very least Brees will play for a half in a game that's a must win just in case SF lays an egg. I could easily see Brees with 250+ yards against Carolina at halftime which may just put it out of reach for Brady

If Brees starts the game, I hope he will stay in until he throws a TD, then sit the rest of the game.

That's another thing, the consecutive TD record.

Saints - Panthers; Rams-9'ers; and Pats-Bills all kick off at the same time. Man there will be big time scoreboard watching.

I have significant question whether Bellichick will play Brady much. It's a meaningless game. 2 years ago, they played their starters in the last meaningless game, and Wes Welker blew out his knee. That has to be paramount in their minds.

Are you sure it's meaningless?
