A redshirt.

Got it. I forgot about Big Sam 99's medical redshirt, and I didn't even know about Brockers redshirting in 2010. I suck.

It would be amistake for both of them. They would be both probable first rounders next year, this year mid of the 2nd.

Could Brockers having to compete with ego have something to do with his decision to go early?

He had a normal redshirt in his freshman year. He got hurt last year in the 4th game or so...therefore he didn't get a medical redshirt.

this would suck for us next year. We can't start losing redshirt sof to the draft if we gonna win it next year

I think Big Sam would be pre-season All-American next year and that hype and his skills would lead to a first round selection for sure. Brockers could be right behind him. I think both should stay, honestly.

I could see him going late first round, but I'm biased. Coming back next year could do wonders for him.

I wouldn't be as confident next year if we lose randle, sam, brockers, Mo, and all our LB's

yeah this probably just means both guys plan on filing their paper work to gauge where they'd go if they put in. Both guys could make much more money by returning. I could see Sam leaving only because his knee injury may have scared the hell out of him.

Which would be understandable, but he has a very good head on his shoulders and I hope he comes to the realization of how much money he could make if he stayed another year. I think Sam could be a potential top-5 or 10 pick next year with the hype machine behind him and a good combine.

And not to mention I could see Brockers being a pretty good NFL DT for years with his size and ability. He just needs another year of hype and highlights. He is relatively unknown and underrated in a thick DL class.
