so we beat #2 Bama on the road yet they only have to beat a terrible Auburn team and we still have to beat #3 Ark and then UGA in order to play in the BCSCG; not too worried but just doesn't seem very fair

It really isn't fair at all and I understand completely why y'all would be pissed if we do in fact get a rematch in New Orleans. I discussed this scenario with my dad before the LSU-Bama game about how mad we'd be if we beat y'all and then had to face you again for the national championship game. I guess we've turned out lucky that this scenario has worked out for us since we lost.

what's the point of an SEC title game if we lose the BCSCG?

Well, this is a fresh new topic.

It's a flawed system. Suck it up.

read the bcs thread if we win one of the next two we get there

but we gonna with both of em!

still don;t think bama deserves a second change

They had there chance and lost. they should not be rewarded with a rematch

we control our own destiny at least while they do not.

Will people quit talking about "fair"??? It's either not fair to Lee or playing Bama again. STFU with all of the lily pad talk!!!

Bama had their chances. Its the system we have to live by. I find it funny the same ones that are anti playoff and the games during the season are critical are the same ones screaming for a rematch.

Loss to Georgia will still put us in BCSCG.

But you have to beat Arkie at home.

It's also not fair that the Alabama players have to live in Alabama and eat grits all the time.

We control our destiny.
OSU/Stanford wins out, they'll control their destiny.
Arkansas controls their destiny.

Alabama does not. Whoever wins Friday can book their trip to the BCSCG IMO.

The computers had Alabama around 3/4 the last 2 weeks and they're going to take a slight hit from playing an FCS school this week. Everyone else has had their FCS out of the way.

I don't see us losing either Ark or UGA and if the system really wants the two best teams in the BCSCG they'll have it with LSU v Bama

now we'll have our home dome game when it really matters

They won't be. They'll go to the Sugar.

The voters won't let it happen. We play an SEC CG, while they sit at home. That won't help their scores in the computers.

That + the human voters..... no rematch. Just like tOSU/Michigan in '06, the last time 1 and 2 played in the regular season. And that game was the last scheduled game of the regular season. They didn't get a rematch a month later.

The voters didn't want to see it and went with the other viable option which was Florida, a team tOSU didn't play.

Teams that don't win their conference and go to the BCSCG have never won.

We don't have to beat UGA. All we have to do is beat Ark and we are in the ship. Even losing to UGA, Bama would not go ahead of LSU.

Its almost sad Stanford who lost by 3 TDs to Oregon who LSU killed would play other than Bama, or unranked Iowa State beat OK State and they dont even have a conference championship game, if Stanford or OK State plays LSU it will be a by halftime
