my cousins are salt of the earth. good blue collar workers. they are soooo proud of being part of the "help mac pack" crowd.

they are in their 80's now, but still in touch w/ their friends from the 70's and 80's. they traveled to many road games. lsu was their social life in b.r. and never did go to lsu.

these are the boobirds that now post on the rant. these people have such a jealousy of the players and nurture their own low self esteem.

they can't yell or boo their boss or any of their employers. they could, but their fear of accomplishments keep them trapped in failure.

so why not criticise and boo? i've said it before and because i believe it, i'll say it again. people are but a reflection of the spiritual power they see in others.

they can only see failure, b/c that is what they think of themselves. most of the negatigahs that post here are actually alcoholics or children of alcoholics.

players, if you listen to these loosers and not trust your coach and your instincts you will be a looser just like them.

to thine ownself be true.

When I was little and "made mistakes" my dad chewed me out and beat my arse. In turn I would get very mad at him for it and I couldn't understand why he would get SO angry. He would say the normal stereotypical things like, "It hurts me to do this" etc. But I didn't believe him. Then I started getting older and was able to see things from different perspectives. I understood that in his eyes my stupid irresponsible actions probably embarrased he and my mom. They probably saw it as a reflection on their parenting. But they were great parents - I was just a kid doing stupid shite I wasn't supposed to.

The players need to realize that the fans support them 100% through all this. We're all in this LSU family together - and their actions are embarrasing us. The fans are the people who have spent countless paychecks that eventually trickle down to the player so that they can have the fancy toys and facilities and education that they have at LSU. So with 3 negative national stories about off the field issues that have produced 6 suspended players so far this season (5 of them starters, 4 of them "leaders"), on top of hearing that "most of the team" broke curfew - it's a little immature and childish to be standoffish against the fans when they're upset. Hopefully one day soon the players and a lot of people on this site will grow up, mature, and realize that just b/c someone is angry and dissapointed in you does not mean that they are against you or don't support you.

Some of us live far from Baton Rouge. I've never in my lifetime seen the hype about LSU and how great and LSU team is by the media out here until now. With success comes the spotlight. We've had one on us for the past decade but it is brighter than it has ever been.
It's up to the players to respond to this. If they make more choices like this, well, they'll bring more spotlight on them UNTIL it costs them a game. At that point, the success spotlight shifts to another team and when that happens, the glory they are now experiencing will shift as well. All the "I wish I wouldn't have" will not change that. Life is full of choices and it's a one time performance. There are no redo's or edits. You never know when the curtain will close.
