too cold?

Colder is better. CO2 will dissolve in to the beer faster at colder temperatures. I keep my keezer right around 45 degrees and keep pressure around 10 psi. Carbs up fine in a week or two.

I was reading that it's recommended to keep the CO2 at the same temperature as the beer, any truth/experience with that?

I don't know. I keep mine in the keezer, but I've seen plenty of other tanks at room temperature. All of them seem to work fine.

I forget where I was reading that, but they said to keep the CO2 tank inside the kegerator if possible. Works for me because I'd rather not have to drill an extra hole.

I used to do that but I ran out of usable space so I moved it outside.

I guess the kegerator I have now (although it's the sankey type) keeps the CO2 tank outside so it sounds like a non-issue.
