After a 2010 redshirt freshman season that never approached expectations, Ford said he became more focused on adhering precisely to the design of the plays called for him, trusting teammates to do their part, getting stronger and embracing contact when necessary.

Ford and Ware are a heckuva combo. If we can work in Gore or Magee for change of pace here and there, then I think we'll end up with something really special.

SEC cornerbacks get eye twitch while reading.

I like it!

Both will be great backs before the season is over!

Is that really true? With Ridley, Murphy and an incoming Ware, I'm not sure he was really expected to have a huge impact last year.

“When you’re the fastest guy on the team, you get to a position where you make a cut and you know even if you flatten your angle you can outrun the field,” Miles explained. “We need for him to finish it north and south, plant and go vertical. That’s where the best yardage is for a college back and he’s making that adjustment.”
This Les Miles quote stood out to me as remarkably articulate. It's like he can't think straight at press conferences, but when it comes to football, he's Daniel Webster.

Is Ford really the fastest guy on the team? faster than mo?

Some of his best runs last weekend were nice little cutbacks where he saw the opening back to his left. Terrell Davis made a nice living doing that in Denver.

There are several posters on here who need to print out that article and cram it down their own throats.
BBQ derp etc.

I love that he's buying into what the coaches are telling him. It's starting to look like he'll be the great back we expected after all.

Excuse me if it's Germans, but Michael Ford was also on the cover of Sports Illustrated and there was a nice write-up about him in that as well. It looks like Ford & Ward will be a great combination at RB, with maybe Gore, Hilliard and Magee also providing great depth at that position.

I think he was referring to high school when Ford was the fastest guy on the field, and how he's had to adjust to getting it up the field faster in college.
