His ability to change field position and his hangtime on his punts was huge difference maker that you will never see on a stat sheet!!!
He will be huge for LSU this season and help the defense with field postion!!!

With his hang time and TM7 & RB13's speed they should be able to win field position in most games

He had a great game last night!
He really played well, I thought he was a one of the reasons the defense played so well.
Not that the special teams didn't have some disappointments. I think Drew Alleman needs to focus more. Sometimes I wonder where his head is.
I keep thinking back to the spring game conversation between Drew and Les--It was like Drew was in his own little world.
Les was kind of dumbfounded when Alleman asked about kicking filed goals after halftime. Les gives him a strange look and basically says "yeah, we're going to kick field goals."

Good punters don't get enough appreciation. Glad to see this post. He did a great job. With a rugby back ground, I can't wait to see him fake a punt. Also Alleman, I think will do great replacing Jasper. I'm comfortable with our kickers!!!

We've enjoyed a good deal of success with punters and kickers under les.

Agreed. When you think of the times that a punter/kicker gave us the edge, whether on a FG, PAT, on-sides, sticking the opponents deep in territory, you realize that preparation on every aspect of the game by CLM, wins games. Love that our kickers, like so many other aspects of the Tigers' game, get national rankings. Those guys, esp Wing, looked like they were just havin' some fun last night. Hope that continues...plus a few trick plays!
