I know this is an old thread but figured I would just bump it instead of a new one.
The Ash wells should be done fracking soon. May be increased activity if they produce good.

The Crosby well in WIlkinson County was pretty badass. Devon is selling their interest, but EOG is getting permits for more units.
EOG is by far the most efficient operator.
Right now, it seems the hot spot is wikinson county, MS/West Feliciana Parish over to St. Helena Parish and Amite County. That is the high resistivity area.

The Ash wells frack jobs are completed. Coiled tubing should start early next week. All fingers are crossed on these wells. These wells took a ton of fluid and proppant. I give ECA kudos for having the balls to go to the extreme with these wells. I forsee EOG on the East side of the MS River soon.

I get a production report daily, looks like its working for Encana.
They are doubling the amount of propant used in the 2 they are drilling right now and lowering the cost by drilling two at one site immediately after one another. So we'll see.

At what costs? That's a big part of the problem along with clay content.

~$12mil each, cost should be significantly less for the ones they are drilling/getting ready to drill now

Looks like they've done a good job of condemning the western portion of the play along with the bad Justiss well and the Halcon well they didn't set pipe on. Looks like a lot of companies are bailing out and or cooling their activity on the play with the exception of Goodrich. Encana seems to be taking a wait and see approach on the economics of these bigger completions.

You're right. It almost seems as if the play was cut in half. EOG drilled and fracked the Dupuy well perfectly IMHO. I'd love to see EOG carbon copy that well on the East side. The production numbers would be impressive.
I do believe ECA will be in monitor mode. The Ash wells will tell a lot about this play.

I have property just outside the "mapped" boundary lines of the TMS Play - approx 20 miles from the boundary. Hoping someone can chime in on the probability of future drilling activity on property with similar proximity to the TMS boundary (see red lines on map). As activity increases in the TMS, will boundary lines shift? Thanks in advance...

No...more likely to shrink as play becomes more defined. And if you're 20 miles south you're off the shelf and your chances are absolute 0.

"Updated GDP corporate presentation shows new high-rate TMS well (ECA completion). Weyerhaeuser 60 H1 tested 1100boe/d with 7500ft lateral and ~2x proppant intensity vs. prior completions. Geographically, well is located near the Anderson completions which also tested 1000+ boe/d and is southeast of the recent Crosby well (1300 boe/d IP). Initial rates continue to improve, but decline rates and costs are critical to commerciality with both GDP and ECA looking to partially monetize interest."
That 1100 BOEPD better be pretty oily and better hold up with the costs they incurred here. The TMS is looking more marginal as we get more well results in.

My uncle owns a couple hundred acres where all that work is going on. I rode out there yesterday. It's been pretty busy on those old dirt roads.

I figured it would be busy up there. We have mineral acres just outside the Ash unit. Missed by a few hundred yards. Hoping these do well and they hit the land all around it.

Does anyone on here have a decent and trusted landman that they might recommend? My family owns both surface and mineral property in Wilkinson, County MS. Right in the middle of the sweet spot of this deal, about 2 miles from the Horseshoe Hill well and a little further from the Crosby wells.
I have started straightening out the minerals and updating information and now have several parties wanting to purchase the mineral rights, which we are not going to sell. But I need to get some runoff's done and make direct contact with some of the interested leasing parties.
This whole deal might turn out to be interesting. But it is hard on us as we are in deep South Texas instead of being up around there.

You've got two players left - Encana and Goodrich...just call their offices and ask for the TMS Landman...tell him your story and you may get leased...don't lease to a Landman/lease flipper.
