CSTR (Coinstar/Redbox) releases earnings today after market close at 5 PM EST. NFLX got killed after releasing their earnings, so will this kiosk provider follow suit? With most outlet retail video stores being closed, I think that CSTR should be able have a pretty robust earnings session. This combined with the recent additions of video games during the summer season (kids out of school/no other game renting alternative) will hopefully bolster their profits and exceed expectations. Granted, if i'm thinking along these lines then i sure expect the "market experts" to also be "expecting" something similar, so i'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope that the earnings are going to be the silver lining as opposed to the debt ceiling debacle that seems to be raining on our parade.

They already took a good fall the last week. The video game thing is soso I believe but over the long haul I think we will see redox as the go to for new releases with Nflx price increase on physical DVDs.

The whisper EBITDA and kiosk comps numbers are pretty lofty compared to consensus, so I doubt CSTR breaks to the upside AH on earnings.
