Nobody knows what it is, how can you be sold?
Posted on 6/7/11 at 12:21 pm to LSUsmartass
wii u
watched the e3 announcement, they had previews of launch games. tekken, ninja gaiden, and ghost recon are going to the new console, as well as nintendo developed games such as smash brothers, zelda, etc. the preview package they showed was pretty impressive.

But you know zero specs on this new console, lol

We know a great deal about Nintendo's hardware plans for Wii 2. The publisher is teaming with AMD for its graphics processor, developing a chip featuring a custom version of the R700 architecture. Cafe's CPU will be coming from IBM, this time a custom-built, triple-core IBM PowerPC chip.
Not sure what any of that means? All you really need to know is that Nintendo's new system will be more powerful than the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. (We've been told "significantly" more powerful, though it's impossible to determine that at this point.) Project Cafe will be capable of supporting 1080p HD display as well as stereoscopic 3D, though we don't know if Nintendo plans to aggressively push 3D for its home console. (We're thinking it won't.)
ohhh really fool

Oh really, and how much of that is confirmed with Nintendo? Nintendo told us nothing about it.
Posted on 6/7/11 at 12:29 pm to thebert4130
Yet none of that was announced during their presser

do away with everything being motion controlled and I'd be sold.

Are you watching this on G4? These guys are confused, maybe you can fill them in on all the scoop you have
Posted on 6/7/11 at 12:32 pm to LSUsmartass
That's what I was thinking, if the "experts" who were at the press conference are confused, how the heck does this guy know whats going on. He's using rumors to sell himself on this console

i don't think so.
an HD (?) wii with a tablet for a controller. just doesn't do it for me.
have played all these on other consoles
have played these on nintendo's other consoles. more of the SOS. don't get me wrong - i love smash brothers, mario kart, zelda, SMB, etc. but since the nintendo 64 it's basically been just more of the same.

for nintendo.
Posted on 6/7/11 at 12:35 pm to thebert4130
Yeah man those new Lego games put me over the top along with all the other games I can play much more easily with a regular controller.

Nintendo getting back the 3rd Parties is a great sign, so I'm not sold yet, but certainly curious.
Posted on 6/7/11 at 12:36 pm to OMLandshark
I'm going to get the Wii U for the 1st party games in HD. 3rd party will likely stay on the 360 for me

Nintendo has another press conference later today, and another tomorrow. But their "main" conference was fairly confusing and left a lot of questions out there.
Posted on 6/7/11 at 12:39 pm to CrazyTigerFan
Finally some answers, it is a brand new console
Posted on 6/7/11 at 12:40 pm to LSUsmartass
Resolution will be 1080p
Posted on 6/7/11 at 12:40 pm to LSUsmartass
Why couldn't they say this in the presser?
