have a sound argument based on more than The Decision

I really wouldn't even care if the haters despised him for The Decision, as long as they could separate what happens on the court with what happens off the court, and make rational, logical judgments of his game without there personal biases influencing it so much.

Also, people act like LeBron went to ESPN and went "Hey, I want you to televise where my decision." I'd be willing to bet every sports and news channel offered fat stacks of cash for it. So what if he televised it? Starbury was eating vaseline on the Internet for Christ's sake, if we're talking attention whores.

Greatest night on the internet ever.

ETA: And I love Lebron, but don't really like basketball all that much.

I like how we praise people for these things, like it's a challenge to go through life without beating a woman or leaving your kids high and dry. fricking shame.

As for Lebron, I love watching him play. It would have been a great story if he could have stuck with the hometown team and brought them a title, but no one knew that situation better than he did. He took advantage of what he was presented with (in terms of free agency), just like everyone else does every year. No big deal.

It blows my mind how much "the decision" thing bothers people. Its become a caricature of itself. Sports fans act so high and mighty, bitch please.

Especially since he had very little to do with the fiasco known as The Decision. He got played by in that situation.

Did you not just read what I said? I clearly said that some people dont think it matters if he's married or not.

What matters is that he's a father to his kids. There are plenty of married guys who are horrible dads.

Yeah, Lebron is a pretty young dude. For his management team to come to him and say "hey we are going to do this and donate the proceeds to charity, you will come out looking great" is going to be really hard for him to see the wrong. I don't fault him at all for it anymore after reading the Jim Grey article on the whole thing. Lebron was the "sucker" is all.

Lebron is a royal arse! He has a tremendous ego and I hope one day justice will be served. You simply cannot go out of your way to tell a city and fanbase to go frick themselves.

He represents all that is wrong with the NBA. He couldnt do it so had to join a team with other top talent to buy a championship.

As a result of his actions I cancelled by NBA direct tv pass and bought zero NBA merchandise. frick Lebron!

MAn Lebron was stuck in Cleveland! Can you blame the man for wanting out of there! Cleveland SUX!!

He obviously wasn't going to get any major help in Cleveland bc lets be honest no one else wants to play in Cleveland.

Dirk's bench players could score 20 on any given night. Then you have Marion and Chandler and Terry and the list goes on.

He straight up quit playing against the Boston Celtics, and there is no possible way you can make a case that he didn't. That's my biggest gripe... who cares about The Decision...he is a whiny arse quitter. That's why I don't like him.

Deal with it.

uhh... Isn't cleveland in ohio? I guess people from Ohio are too stupid to understand why we associate cleveland with ohio.
