If that's not the most beautiful piece of land on God's green earth, I'd like to see what is. Got to meet Phil, Freddie, and Steve Stricker. Also met and talked with Emmitt Smith. I don't mean this to sound arrogant, but if you ever get the chance to go, do it.

You take any pictures (if you went during practice rounds)? Post 'em here.

we were there only Thursday and Friday, so no pics (cameras are strictly forbidden during the tournament). And yes, I was very lucky to get to go. My brother-in-law called and invited me a month ago. The best part? It was all free! His company paid for our badges (tickets), lodging, and all meals. Once in a lifetime deal

Mickleson hooked his second shot on 15 Friday. We were sitting first row in the chair line beside the green. His ball almost hit a lady sitting beside me. When Phil got there, he apologized over and over. Seems that the "good guy" image he has is for real. Also, Stricker's ball ended up about 10 feet from us, and Freddie's ball was about 15 feet. It was pretty danged cool

Oh, one more thing. We met Tiger's mother, who was walking the tournament with Tiger's new girlfriend. It's amazing how much she resembled his ex-wife. Could have been sisters.

We saw huge numbers of Georgia fans, as you might expect, but LSU was well represented also. I hollered a couple of "Geaux Tigers" at David Toms on 16 Thursday, which was where we were sitting that day.

He doesn't have the nickname "figjam" for no reason. Don't believe everything you see.

Those are some cool experiences though. I hope to make it to Augusta one day.

not saying Augusta isn't pretty but "the most beautiful piece of land on God's green earth" would not be a golf course IMO

Part of what I envision heaven to be would be playing Augusta National anytime I want; however, I would agree with the above statement. I could find plenty of places with more beauty than Augusta National.

Even the pine straw looks at ANGC nicer than anywhere else.

Feels like a dream or another planet when you're on the grounds, huh?
