IF the Hornets were to leave...

Being originally from New Orleans and supporting the team when I lived there, I want to see them stay in NOLA long term. However, with the league owning the team, other disgruntled owners, etc, etc... their viability in the New Orleans market may be limited.
Now, the unpopular questions: if they were to move in the near future, 1) what market would you like to see them in, and 2) what market do you think they would most likely end up in?
My argument, obviously biased: I'd like to see them here in Louisville. The Yum! Center is NBA ready, less than a year old, and in a prime location downtown right along the Ohio river. The Pacers have absolutely no following and no advertising here in Louisville. This is in direct opposition to the Colts, Bengals, and Reds who all market heavily in Louisville, particularly the Cincinnati teams. Also given the basketball bias of Kentucky sports (i.e. UK, Louisville), I think it would thrive, especially if a Kentucky player were on the team. The market is certainly large enough, and certainly larger than other current NBA markets (New Orleans and OK City).
However, with that said, most of the news surrounding landing a franchise in Louisville has them playing in the dilapidated Freedom Hall which leads one to wonder how serious the city is about being a big league city.
Aside from that, I think Seattle gets its team back within the next few years.

Have they broke ground on a new arena yet?

I was New Orleans-centric when I lived there too. I couldn't fathom the Saints or Hornets playing anywhere else but NOLA. But then I actually grew up and realized that there's more to the world than Louisiana and that ultimately, big league sports is a business. As much as it sucks, if a viable owner doesn't step up, the Hornets in New Orleans are toast.

I honestly couldn't care less where they moved to. I'd probably still root for CP3, DWest, and a few others but the team would basically be dead to me.

Wow, I guess I had forgotten how dickish TD.com was. No wonder I've posted so sparsely in the past 5 years.
Whatever, Geaux Hornets!

I'd want them to come to Baton Rouge.

Why the frick would we like to see them in a certain market besides NOLA?
Louisiville would be fricking stupid to have the Hornets. That's like putting an NFL team around the Tuscaloosa Alabama area.
Get
Out

Kansas City is where they'd end up.

you came to the Hornets board and asked where would we want them moved too. I could give 2 fricks about the hornets if they aren't in NOLA. Use your brain next time

"Clickish" has nothing to do with it. You're on a Hornets board populated primarily by local Hornets fans who are intent on the team remaining in New Orleans. What the frick kind of reaction did you think you're receive.
By the way, the odds favor the Hornets staying put.

How else did you think this would go? If you truly wanted to know where people would like to see the NBA expand/return you should have asked that question. If you ask people where they would like to see the Hornets move expect a bunch of frick Off responses.

How is this being dickish or immature? The truth of the matter is that many fans, including myself, didn't care much about the NBA before the Hornets came down. If the team leaves, then why should I care about them afterwards?
