Or is it just a party? I'm down with either but I've invited a brew friend to town to join me there this year now I'm curious what to expect. Does it offer homebrewer concoctions or just commercial brews? TIA

Both

I had proabably the best chocolate stout I've ever had there last year courtesy of a local homebrew club.

My cousin did this one and it was awesome. I hope he does it again. This is one of my favorite events of the year.

I went a few years ago when it was at the Riverwalk. It was awesome but it was pretty crowded.

It wasn't crowded at all the last two years at the Rural life museum.

That the one in Baton Rouge? Haven't been. Is that the one being referenced? Hopefully it is in BR, I'd like to go.

Yes the choc breakfast stout. He brewed a few batches and had to mix and match before he got it to where he wanted it. He also did an IPA that was great. I cant wait to try what he has brewed up this year. FYI he brews with redstick home brewers. The weather the last few years has kept the crowds down and allowed for some great beer tasting.

That's awesome. It was ridiculously good. I went back for seconds and thirds I think. I told him that I though it was good and he suggested a Beer float... I finally had one a few months ago and it was also amazing.
