The sad thing is I tried to give away 4 of those nice juicy 60 lb sows last night and I went through my eniter phone and no one wanted them. I finally drove them to the local hispanic marcado and gave them to the lady running the deli. She was very happy to get them. Her husband who was going to gut, skin, and process them not so much.

Btw, my freezer is currently full.

well, the question that has been on my mind for weeks is: did you ever decide on which was the perfect weapon for this mass destruction?

Of the 15, they all died by 12 gauge 2 3/4" #2 steel shot. Two were shot outside of the trap, the other 13 were caught on two groups 5 and then 8 within the last 2 weeks.

All on our lease in east Texas.

FWIW: The carnage gave me an entire new respect for the 12 gauge as a home defense weapon.

ETA: I'm going to go after a few with the SKS 124 gr JHP's and the Benelli pump 12 ga 3" 00 buck this weekend. I need on nice plump juicy 100 lb sow for making brawts.

Absolutely man. If you need an extra trigger man, I'd be more than willing to hop across the state line. Do you need a license for nusiance animals?

Too bad you can't (or wouldn't want to) use these for sausage with your deer meat. Talk about saving some cash at the processor

I can, I do, and I am the processor for most of it.

I dont like using straight wild hog fat for add in though.

WE got some biguns too. I shot a 246 a couple of years ago.

BTW I wired one of them to a tree and set up the IR camera to catch the carnage. With our predator poulation, it will likely be down to bones by sunday. I will post pics and vids.
