i hunt in poplarville, basically live there half the time, i have never heard of anything like this or seen any signs of anything like this, ive never even seen a bobcat at my place

They are frequently found near the Mexico US border. One was found and collared in Feb 2009 but it died about a year ago after getting caught in a snare.

Correct. The last documented jaguar in Louisiana was one killed near Gonzales in 1884.

I saw a bobcat while deer hunting a few weeks ago. First one I've seen in a while though.
I saw a bobcat last week that I would swear was black based on what I was seeing through my scope. But in spite of the fact that is infinitely more likely than a black panther, I still don't think it was actually black.
