Is it just me, or do they do a lot better job officiating than the SEC crews? Pehaps they didn't go to school in, or are a fan of Bama?

they are BETTER. That is why they are working now while the SEC refs ARE NOT!

C-USA schools supposedly have the best officiating crews around. Many of them get hired by the NFL.

Much better - when they went to a booth review, Fox couldn't even get their expert on before they had sent the answer back to the field. Fairly called and extremely organized. Run circles around Penn Wagers, Steve Shaw, and the rest of those crappy crews from Alabama.

Every Bowl game I watched, said the same thing. The CUSA graded out head and shoulders above the rest of the conferences. They did get picked for the bigger bowls for that reason.

They did a great job IMO. There were a few missed calls but we can live with that. The big thing with me was that they let the kids play and didn't try to control the game like SEC officials.

They don't have to control the game because they have no money bet on the game.

This, I have a friend that's a Big 12 official and he concurs.

Totally agree SEC officials are on a power trip a bunch of control freaks CUSA officials let the players play the game I don't recall one holding penalty last night however there were some plays that could have been called but they were fair for both teams

Excellent officiating last night. They let the boys play and yet kept everything under control. Conference USA , the best in my opionion.

I thought they called a good game. But a few times I thought they let the players get a bit carried away after the whistle....both teams.

I think they called a fair game, but I did see quite a few holding calls on both teams that went unflagged, plus two obvious facemasks that LSU should have been flagged for. That said, I'd rather the C-USA crews to what we see week in and week out in the SEC. The referee was all business and didn't waste any time.

I still wish I knew why Baker was flagged on TM's touchdown, though.

Or they haven't been paid by the SEC office to change the outcome of the game.

Well officiated game.

I would MUCH prefer too few flags than too many. THe game should be decided by the players, not the officials.

WHAT? Those frickers would go to a booth review before they would even tell you what the call on the field was.

Good point. That was very frustrating.

The onlyu complaint I have is the TM interception where Ryan Baker made a jam up hit to draw the flag. The hit had little bearing on the play, so I feel they should have not thrown the flag.
